A pilot distance learning course on the first CG module for vocational education specialists from all regions of Uzbekistan was completed in early April.
The training was conducted on a distance learning platform (http://cgtvet.uz/uz) specially designed for the Institute for the Institute for Pedagogical Innovation, Retraining and Continuing Education of Leadership and Pedagogical Staff in Vocational Education.
The course was divided into six stages, lasting one week each. Per stage, participants received assignments and training materials for self-study (electronic materials, video presentations, additional materials for in-depth study on a topic). To coordinate and facilitate assignments/discussions, a special forum was opened on the platform – participants were able to comment, debate and discuss/ask questions from tutors. At certain stages, the surveys, via the Google Docs, were applied to test the degree of comprehension of e-learning content. As an additional communication tool, the Telegram messenger was used.
During the course, training materials on the first module were prepared and tested in Uzbek, including video presentations, the platform itself was improved, and 4 tutors from the partner organization received practical experience in organizing distance learning. It has become possible to reach a wider audience on a regular basis and at lower financial cost.
