On March 18, 2023 a new training cycle of the Curriculum globALE (CG) for managerial and pedagogical staff of Osh State University within the “Implementation and Institutionalization of the Curriculum globALE (CG) in the formal education sector” project has been launched.

The first module “Approaching Adult Education” was completed, where the main goal is to give participants an understanding of adult education and its specifics in the context of andragogy.

Education in the Context of the Concept of Human Rights, Gender Aspects of ALE, Limits, and Opportunities for ALE, and other topics were covered.

“The main reason why I applied for this program and passed (passed through the competition - ed. note) is that today there are big demands not only from our university (Osh State University - ed. note) but also from society in general, in relation to representatives of the education sector, and we must meet the required expectations. Also, this program provides knowledge in formal and non-formal adult education, which is relevant today.” Radzhapova Nazgul Abiybullaevna - Ph.D., acting Associate Professor of Osh State University

Trainers are graduates of the CG program, certified andragogues: Ashimova Chinara, Junushalieva Kaliman. The project is implemented with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Curriculum globALE (CG) is a modularised and competency-based framework curriculum for the training of adult educators worldwide. The qualifi cation level is that of a basic qualifi cation for the area of adult education. An adult educator working mainly in teaching was taken as the professional reference profi le. In other words, the learning outcomes described in the curriculum constitute a qualifi cation that course instructors, trainers, lecturers and similar individuals should have as a prerequisite for carrying out their work in a professional manner.
