When Learning Becomes Inspiration: How Digital Technologies Transforms Adult Education
The Regional Workshop in Tashkent: “New Horizons in Adult Learning and Education: Global Trends and Digital Transformation” Adult education is not just about transferring knowledge — it is a space for professional growth and new opportunities. This spirit defined the atmosphere of the regional workshop organized by the DVV International Uzbekistan on October 24, 2025. The event brought together experts, trainers, and methodologists from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan — people who not only teach but also inspire, transforming adult education in response to the challenges of our time. 💡 The workshop focused on how digital technologies are not merely complementing but fundamentally transforming approaches to adult learning. Participants emphasized that developing digital competencies is no longer an option but a necessity — opening doors to social, economic, and cultural inclusion for adults.
Experts shared their success stories:
• platforms which make knowledge accessible to remote communities,
• flexible programmes which take into account the realities of adult learners’ lives,
• tools which turn learning into dialogue and co-creation.
The workshop format was dynamic and interactive:
• online collaboration boards,
• digital tools,
• and real-time group activities — these allowed participants not only to discuss digital transformation but to experience it firsthand.
The workshop became a bridge connecting different countries, approaches, and perspectives — and, most importantly, people united by a shared belief in the power of education. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to participants who successfully completed the elective module “Online Transformation in Adult Learning and Education: Modern Interactive Tools”, developed within the international Curriculum globALE programme.
