"Prevention of human trafficking among youth" was the name of project of the Namangan branch of the Republican Social and Information Center "Istiqbolli Avlod". Center staff consider that, recognizing migration as a reality, respecting the choice made by migrants and their significant contribution to the country's economy, it is necessary to do everything possible so that they can realize their goals and lead a decent civilized life in the host countries. Very often, a change in lifestyle, difficult working conditions, isolation from the family, lack of knowledge of the language and their rights lead to a drop in their self-esteem, psychological and physical ill health, and the breaking of family ties. To implement the project idea, the regions with the largest number of migrants were selected: Papsky, Chustsky, Kasansay and the city of Namangan.
At the trainings for youth mentors (parents, makhalla activists, employees of youth organizations, psychologists of educational institutions), conditions for successful migration were discussed, and organizations that could help prepare for migration were listed. The knowledge gained by trained mentors will be able to apply in their work with young people.
