From Digital Skills to Digital Opportunities!
The Central Asian Trainers Redefine Adult Learning and Education. Earlier this year, DVV International Uzbekistan has launched the development of an elective module titled “Online Transformation in Adult Learning: Modern Interactive Tools” within the Curriculum globALE framework. The course was designed by Valentina Sidorkina, an experienced trainer and adult education methodologist from the Republic of Belarus. Goal of the module: to make online learning more engaging, accessible, and high quality.
Over 47 digital tools and 220 practical exercises are now in the hands of 18 trainers from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan! Over the course of five weeks, participants mastered new approaches and, during the final in-person exam in Tashkent on October 22–23, presented their own mini-sessions — covering topics on emotional intelligence and financial literacy, learning cities, dual education, and team dynamics. Graduates of the module received certificates of completion, confirming their competencies as trainers and online tutors. The module was implemented with the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) of Germany.
This is only the beginning — ahead awaits multiplication and new cohorts! Digital andragogy is not just a trend — it is a path toward equal access, innovation, and quality education for all, regardless of location or age.
