The relevance of adult education in the current conditions

In the current conditions of rapid global changes caused by digitalization, technological development and labor market transformation, adult education is becoming one of the main factors of sustainable socio-economic development.
The concept of continuing education allows adults to constantly update their knowledge and skills, adapt to new professional requirements and maintain competitiveness in a dynamically changing environment. In addition, adult education plays an important role in expanding employment opportunities, social integration and developing human potential.
In recent years, special attention has been paid to the development of adult education in the Kyrgyz Republic, and one of the important steps in this direction was the adoption of a resolution on the designation of April 17 as Adult Education Day. The adopted decision reflects the recognition at the state level of the importance of continuing education and emphasizes its strategic role in the development of the country, and by establishing it, increases the attention of society to the issues of lifelong learning and contributes to strengthening the interaction between state structures, educational organizations, civil society and international partners working in the field of adult education.
In the Kyrgyz Republic, the need to train qualified specialists in the field of adult education (andragogy) who are able to effectively implement training programs and introduce modern educational methods and technologies, taking into account the needs of adults, is of particular importance.
In modern conditions, adult education is considered not only as a tool for professional development, but also as an important resource for digital transformation, innovative development and social stability.
Therefore, further development of the adult education system, including the training of profile specialists, is a necessary condition for the formation of a sustainable, inclusive and knowledge-based society.
