This initiative marks an important step toward strengthening Sri Lanka’s regional incubation ecosystem and enhancing structured support for startups and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

Yet sustainable enterprise development requires more than individual motivation. It depends on well-trained facilitators who understand incubation models, innovation processes, mentoring approaches, and ecosystem coordination. Through this program, Enterprise Development Officers are equipped with practical tools to guide entrepreneurs from early-stage ideation to market entry and expansion.
The three-day program combines conceptual grounding, exposure visits to leading incubation centers, and the development of district-level action plans. Participants engage with experienced practitioners from innovation hubs, universities, and private sector platforms, gaining insights into both global best practices and locally adaptable solutions
