DVV International Board Delegation Meets Sri Lankan Partner Institutions to Discuss Lifelong Learning Pathways

DVV International Sri Lanka brought together representatives from the Ministry of Education, Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, Vocational Training Authority, Department of Technical Education and Training, Department of Agriculture, National Youth Services Council, National Enterprise Development Authority, National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency, and the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources for discussions on partnerships and future collaboration.

The dialogue focused on creating pathways for lifelong learning through career guidance, non formal skills development, entrepreneurship support, community based learning, and employability initiatives for youth and adults across Sri Lanka.

The meeting was attended by Esther Hirsch, Executive Director of DVV International, DVV/VHS Board Members Martin Rabanus and Arne Zielinski, Sonja Belete, Regional Director for South Asia, representatives of DVV International Sri Lanka, and officials from partner government institutions.

The discussions also created space for meaningful exchanges on how Adult Education systems function in Germany and how experiences from different contexts can contribute to stronger and more inclusive learning systems in Sri Lanka.

DVV International Sri Lanka continues working together with institutions through a system building approach that strengthens partnerships, institutional cooperation, and sustainable lifelong learning structures across the country.
