DVV International Sri Lanka, together with the Department of Agriculture, successfully completed the second batch of a four day residential facilitation workshop for agricultural extension officers representing different parts of Sri Lanka.
The workshop formed part of the ongoing collaboration between DVV International and the Department of Agriculture aimed at strengthening Adult Learning and Education approaches within agricultural extension systems and community learning environments.
The programme focused on learner centred facilitation, participatory training methods, communication techniques, Training Needs Assessment tools, reflective learning practices, and community based learning approaches relevant to agricultural extension work.
Participants engaged in practical exercises, group discussions, field related simulations, digital learning tools, and collaborative activities designed to encourage reflection, participation, and peer learning.
The initiative reflects DVV International Sri Lanka’s broader system building approach, which focuses on strengthening institutions, facilitation capacities, and learning environments that support lifelong learning and community development.
