DVV International and Department of Agriculture Conduct Farm Machinery Training Programme in Anuradhapura

DVV International Sri Lanka, together with the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Technical Education and Training, successfully conducted the second batch of the Farm Machinery Training Programme in Anuradhapura.

The programme brought together agricultural officers and practitioners to strengthen practical knowledge related to farm machinery operation, maintenance, safety procedures, and field level applications connected to everyday agricultural realities.

Beyond technical learning, the programme also focused on knowledge sharing and extension practices, encouraging participants to further transfer practical skills and experiences within farming communities and local agricultural networks.

The training highlighted the importance of practical and accessible learning opportunities within rural environments, particularly in strengthening sustainable agricultural development and community resilience.

The initiative forms part of DVV International Sri Lanka’s broader efforts to connect lifelong learning approaches with practical livelihoods and local development processes.
