The 4th and the final module of the Curriculum globALE on “Methods of Adult Education” took place on April. Participants were introduced to a variety of adult education methods and will be able to apply those for achieving learning results with respective target groups. This module was in an unusual format, combining online and offline formats. Participants received all theoretical and practical knowledge for full-fledged work in the field of ALE adult learning&education. After taking a test, participants will receive international certificates.

This module is ideal to practice the knowledge and competencies learned in other modules. Each topic can be used as material to implement, illustrate, present or analyse the use of single methods. The topics from all other modules can be analysed from the point of view of suitability of some method, combined with other criteria (target group, time, resources, etc.). For example, the groups can choose the best method to explain different types of adult learning (module 2) or to compare the benefi ts of adult education (module 1), or to explore the ways to overcome communication problems within the group (module 3). Other modules can point out what methods can be used to work with single topics, or with different kind of participants, and in this module, these ideas can be implemented.

“Each module left an indelible impression on my memory, for example, the first module was remembered by my acquaintance with the trainer Olga Agapova, her training concept, the creation of the image of an adult; the second - despite the fact that it was conducted in English and there was an interpreter, in some situations the coaches and participants understood each other without an interpreter, the ability of trainers to present educational theories without reading voluminous texts, applying these theories in practice, the third module: various games, interesting presentations including video materials, fourth module: opportunities for blended learning, biographical methods, “second shift” - after dinner, almost all participants in Issyk-Kul gathered in the training room to do some work on the main activity" - Bolotakunova Gulzat, teacher, Osh, Kyrgyzstan

The trainer Olga Agapova (St. Petersburg, Russia) is a trainer-psychologist, adult educator, gerontologist, holds a PhD in pedagogical sciences, and authored more than 40 publications on adult education. Participants are practicing trainers from different regions of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
