Wrap-up Activity of the project "Learning Communities"

The wrap-up event of the project "Learning Communities - Conflict Mitigation in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova through Active Participation of the Communities" held on 25th of November, 2017 in Chisinau was attended by project coordinators and representatives of cultural institutions within which Centres for Adult Education were set up in rural areas. A series of activities, organized in the time span of June 1 to November 30, focused on capitalizing on the cultural treasure, intergenerational communication, and conflict resolution, civic proactivism in the community.

The non-governmental organizations included in the project are the following: „Asociația PsihologilorTighina” (Association for Psychologists from Tighina) from Causeni town, „Centrul de resurse pentru Educație și Dezvoltare” (Resource Center for Education and Development) Drochia town, "Nufarul".from  Rezina town, „Pro Comunitate Băhrinești” (Pro Community) Bahrinesti, Floresti and Hlina-Victorion, Hlina, Briceni. The representatives of NGOs presented the successes and challenges they had in the process of developing the non-formal adult education project.

The colleagues from Ukraine were also present at the event. Yana Dragovenko, project coordinator, DVV International Ukraine, presented the obtained results of the Centres for Adult Education in the neighbouring country. Natalia Tarasenko director of the Centre for Adult Education in Zhytomyr, Ukraine has provided Moldovan public with the achievements of the organization she represents.

The project "Learning Communities - Conflict Mitigation in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova through Active Participation of the Communities" was implemented by DVV International Moldova in partnership with the NGO “Mostenitorii” from Balti and supported financially by the German Foreign Ministry.
