The winner of the special nomination by DVV International at the XIV National International Competition "Oltin Kalam" has been announced

On May 3, when the whole world celebrates Press Freedom Day, an annual solemn event was held in Tashkent at the Turkiston Palace for the fourteenth time to honor the winners and prize-winners of the International Competition for the XIV National Prize Oltin Kalam (Golden Feather). This competition is held by the Creative Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan and the Journalists Retraining Center, with the support of the National Association of Electronic Media, the Public Fund for Support and Development of Independent Print Media and News Agencies, the National Television and Radio Company, the Ministry of Culture, the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan and the Uzreport news agency.

In 2019, 518 journalists took part in the competition and presented about 6,700 creative works. Various international organizations and embassies of foreign countries that presented prizes in their special nominations, such as UNESCO, USAID, Delegation of the European Union in Uzbekistan, Office of the OSCE Coordinator in Uzbekistan, INGO "Regional Dialogue" (Slovenia), Chinese Embassies, took part in the award ceremony. , Russian Federation, USA, Turkey and others.

DVV International, within the framework of its special nomination “The Best Publication on Assistance to Vulnerable groups of population”, announced the winner to Anora Sodikova, a journalist working at the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA), for a series of problematic articles about people in difficult or even critical life situations. The choice of the theme of the nomination was not accidental. All DVV International projects are aimed at improving the situation of these people. Irina Razilova, DVV International Project Coordinator presented Anore Sodikova with the Diploma of the Winner and announced the prize - an overseas trip to one of the DVV International events.
