On July 15 KrtaBATS Adult Learning and Education (ALE) Center opened in an official ceremony held in Stepanavan, Lori. The Center is the sixth ALE provider funded by the DVV International Armenia Country Office.
The center was founded by the Stepanavan Youth Center NGO in cooperation with the Stepanavan Municipality and the InStepanavan Development Foundation. It is located in the city library․
During the opening ceremony, official speeches were delivered by Hasmik Movsisyan, Secretary of the Stepanavan Community Administration; Karine Dadyan, Head of the Department of Additional and Continuing Education of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia; Katrin Buder-Pelz, Representative of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany; Arsen Simonyan, President of the Stepanavan Youth Center NGO; Ruben Khachatryan, Head of the InStepanavan Development Foundation; and Ester Hakobyan, Director of the DVV International Armenia Country Office.
Throughout the two hour event interactive workshops, masterclasses, games were held outside, in the library courtyard. Inside, guest speakers discussed the challenges of adult learning and education and answered questions.
KrtaBATS Stepanavan Center is ready to welcome its beneficiaries who wants to learn, grow personally and professionally, and take an active role in their community.
The center is open to learners aged 18 and above.
With the support of DVV International Armenia Country Office, courses are already underway on healthy lifestyles, confectionery, English and entrepreneurial skills, engaging about 80 participants.
