DVV International Jordan Presents Inspiring Model at the ESREA European Conference in Prague

The 11th Triennial Conference of the European Society for Research on the Education of Adults (ESREA) was held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, from 24 to 27 September 2025. The conference takes place once every three years.

The conference explored how dialogue can be employed in adult education to address contemporary challenges such as inequality, marginalization, political transformations, and the normalization of violence. Its focus was on the relationship of adult education to biography, identity, citizenship, migration, and labor market transformations, as well as the roles of adult educators and the needs of learners.

The participation of DVV International Jordan came in response to the conference’s open invitation to researchers and practitioners to present academic papers and applied projects that contribute to developing dialogue skills as an essential condition for improving the quality of life for individuals and communities.

Ms. Barbara Hust (Regional Director), Mr. Jawad Al Gousous (Director of the Jordan Office), Ms. Ekhlas Al-Zyadat (Project Manager) presented their paper titled:
“Contributions of a Dialogue-Based Adult Education and Learning Approach to Community Empowerment in Jordan.”
