Within the project "Promoting of Social Change and Inclusive Education in Tajikistan" a greenhouse has been launched on the basis of the State Unitary Enterprise "Dushanbe Training Center" and short-term inclusive vocational training course on specialty “Florist” began in August, 2020 with the involvement of young people with disabilities.
The training curriculum consists of 128 hours during which trainees learn about the nuances of floriculture and plants care. In addition to this a 16-hour theoretical courses on “Start Your Business” and “Life Skills” will be delivered to trainees. In the learning process, the instructors use specially designed curriculum including textbooks, practical exercise book, illustrative book and teacher’s guide developed by an experienced florist. Upon competition the course graduates will enter the labor market as floriculture specialists.
This activity is implemented within the framework of the project "INCLUSION: Promotion of Social Change and Inclusive Education in Tajikistan" funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The project is implemented by the Country Office of DVV International in Tajikistan in partnership with local NGOs Adult Education Association of Tajikistan and the League of Disabled Women "Ishtirok".
