We are continuing to talk about five arguments for adult learning and education (ALE).
Argument # 4. Long and healthy life.
The 3rd Global Report on Adult Learning and Education states that continuing education is the key not only to economic well-being, but also to a healthy and long life. In countries where adult education is effective, life expectancy is increasing and the number of people with cardiovascular disease, stroke and diabetes is decreasing. This phenomenon is due to the fact that constantly learning people are committed to healthier behaviors and habits.
Prepared within the framework of the "Adult Education - the Key to Development" project implemented by the Institute for Youth Development with the support of DVV International Kyrgyzstan in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
