Adult Learning and Education (ALE) helps people understand changes, respond to it, and transform themselves and our shared world. ALE includes all forms of education and training: formal (schools, vocational colleges, universities), non-formal (courses and trainings in training centers, tutoring), as well as self-study.
ALE movement can help people fight poverty, develop and enrich their skills, acquire a new and in-demand profession.
ALE helps students navigate our complex world, enables them to make informed decisions and motivates them to take joint action to contribute to creating an alternative and workable vision of the future. ALE is about helping people to lead a fuller and more meaningful life, and contribute to the development of communities, cities, countries and the world.
We are different organizations from around the world. We work in local communities, universities, industrial enterprises, educational centers for adults, governments, international agencies, social movements, etc.
We, as an alliance of organizations and networks, understand that "the time has come" to unite our voices and stand together to promote, mobilize and popularize ALE in all countries.
"Adult Learning and Education (ALE)" international movement is designed to encourage adults of all ages to join the global trend of education.
