Dr. Nicola Vöhringer has recently joined the DVV International Central Asia Team in Bishkek where she will be supporting the regional programming section. Dr. Vöhringer is passionate about promoting educational opportunities for all and looks forward to working together with colleagues, partners, and communities in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Before joining DVV International, she worked in policy development at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in the areas of primary education and gender. Most of her professional career, she spent in higher education as a researcher and lecturer at different universities in Germany, Canada, the USA, and Tajikistan as well as director of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Offices in Canada and Tajikistan.
