Open Day and Job Fair at the Panj District Community Learning Center (CLC): A Step Towards Development and Opportunities
On May 19, 2025, the Community Learning Center (CLC) in Panj District hosted an important and inspiring event — the Open Day and Job Fair, organized with the support of DVV International in Tajikistan and the Center for the Development of Handicrafts and Modern Professional Skills, in partnership with the NGO Cultural-Educational Center “Tomiris”.
Promoting Adult Education and Opportunities for All
The event served as a platform for open dialogue between education, the labor market, and the needs of the local population. Its main goal was to inform the community about the activities of the CLC, promote the value of continuing and vocational education, and build strong partnerships for sustainable development.
The center, which opened its doors in September 2024, has functioned from the beginning as an inclusive educational platform focused on the needs of the local population. It offers a wide range of programs aimed at developing professional and life skills that contribute to employment, self-development, and improved quality of life.
What Happened at the Event?
The event brought together 80 participants, including representatives of the district administration, educational institutions, partner organizations, the Labor and Employment Agency, employers, as well as youth, women, and men striving for professional growth.
Presentation of CLC Activities:
Guests were introduced to the educational opportunities available at the center, its modern technical facilities, classrooms, and adult-oriented inclusive teaching approaches.
Job Fair:
A key part of the event was the Job Fair, organized in cooperation with the Panj District Labor and Employment Agency. Visitors had access to:
• information on current job vacancies;
• individual career consultations;
• direct interaction with employers and employment experts.
Discussion of Current Challenges:
Special attention was given to the role of adult education in today’s socio-economic landscape, with an emphasis on developing flexible skills such as communication, financial literacy, digital competence, and adaptability in the labor market.
