In Kyrgyzstan, the process of implementation of the global adult learning and education programme Curriculum GlobALE began in 2019. Sixteen participants were selected on a competitive basis to participate in the programme – practicing coaches, trainers and teachers of the formal and non-formal education sectors in Kyrgyzstan.

The first module on "Approaches to Adult Education" was conducted from 10 to 13 September 2019. Olga Agapova, an international trainer from St. Petersburg, was invited as trainer. The workshop was based on the problem-solving learning method and practice-oriented approach.  The experienced trainer presented theoretical blocks on philosophical and psychological bases of adult education, and peculiarities of adult learning processes

Within four days, the trainer brought new knowledge and skills to a very challenging audience, where everyone is an experienced professional working for a long time in the field of education as trainers or coaches.  The participants broadened their knowledge in the field of science "Adult Education / Andragogy", thought about its specifics and features. They received many interactive methods to activate and motivate the adult audience.

Participation in the seminar allowed reflection on the necessity not only to train adults, but also to contribute to the popularization of lifelong learning and contribute to changes in the state policy of Kyrgyzstan in this area.
