Human rights in action: four days of discoveries, dialogue, and new ideas!

How to protect your rights? How to make youth voices heard? 35 young leaders and activists from Tashkent, Termez, and Namangan searched for answers to these questions at the Innovation Lab "Human Rights in Action: Ideas, Initiatives, Opportunities," held on October 27–30, 2026.

It all began with a visit to School 21 in Tashkent , where participants got acquainted with a modern digital educational environment and discussed digital rights and safety.

The lab then continued outside the capital. Forum theater, film discussions, real-life case analyses, creative tasks, and teamwork  made the learning experience vibrant and engaging. The young people learned to better understand their rights, find solutions, and propose ideas for positive change in their communities.

Knowing your rights means knowing how to act mindfully.  Real change starts with education, open dialogue, and a readiness to hear one another. And the young participants of the lab possessed plenty of ideas, energy, and enthusiasm to make the world around them better!

The lab was organized by the DVV International Uzbekistan in cooperation with the International Social and Educational Center "Barkaror Hayot" within the framework of the project "Human Rights in Action: Championing Change with Youth and CSOs" implemented with financial support from the European Union  and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) .
