ANOTHER CREW PREPARED FOR THE HUMAN RIGHTS JOURNEY!

“Human Rights in Action: Championing Change with Youth and CSOs”. The project is implemented with financial support from the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany.
From 16 to 18 June 2025, another youth team with competencies in the field of human rights was trained in Tashkent, comprising representatives from different regions of Uzbekistan.
The training course ‘Space Journey through Human Rights’ was organised by the International Social Educational Centre ‘Barkaror Hayot’ in partnership with the DVV International Uzbekistan.
This training is the second stage of piloting a new programme called Rights Navigator, developed by Uzbek and Kyrgyz human rights experts.
The programme is aimed at a wide audience: young people, representatives of civil society, teachers, civil servants, law enforcement officials, volunteers, activists and anyone who strives to develop a culture of lawfulness and promote the values of tolerance, justice and peaceful coexistence.
Each stage of the game ‘Space Journey through Human Rights’ is an exploration of various aspects of human rights, presented in the form of thematic planets (Planet Resonance, Digital Galaxy, Ecosphere of Justice, Asteroid Field of Corruption, etc.).
Quests, role-playing games, case studies, group assignments, and the use of special online platforms allowed participants to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the game, develop legal literacy and critical thinking, acquire assertive behaviour skills, and learn how to argument their position and make informed decisions in complex situations.
The team was guided towards achieving its goals by experienced trainers Sanjar Yuldashev and Shohsanam Shukurullaeva, who paid particular attention to reflection and gathering suggestions on possible training formats and topics.
And this team accomplished its tasks! All participants received certificates and set off on their journey to generate and propose initiatives to improve the human rights situation.

A third group of young people is preparing for training, and soon you will be able to see the final version of the Rights Navigator programme in Uzbek, English and Russian!
