On September 11, the International Forum on Social Innovations on the topic "Social innovation as an important factor in development of society" was held in Tashkent, which was attended by representatives of various ministries and departments, as well as foreign experts and representatives of international organizations.
The forum was organized by the “Development Strategy” Center jointly with the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the representative office of Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Uzbekistan.
The main purpose of the forum was to discuss the issues of accelerated innovative development of the country in the social sphere and to develop recommendations based on successful foreign experience, modern achievements of world science, advanced ideas, developments and technologies.
In her speech, the branch employee Irina Razilova revealed the main ideas and essence of the concept developed by the expert group of DVV International with participation of specialists from UNESCO Office in Tashkent, National Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan for UNESCO, Institute for Lifelong Learning at UNESCO (UIL, Hamburg). She also noted that the concept presents an approach to achieving a common vision for promoting lifelong learning in Uzbekistan and contains a number of recommendations that are innovative for the country. The concept is addressed to decision-makers, as well as to a wide range of experts and stakeholders for the further development of an LLL policy. All forum participants who have shown interest in this document will receive it for more detailed study and possible further discussion.
