“Some retired people are lost. It seems that everything is over - no one needs you, because you are locked in your house. You shouldn't lock yourself. It is necessary that more people learn about such projects” - Raisa Alekseevna, a participant in the Kurak course, within the University of the Third Age project.
The project was implemented by ADRA Kyrgyzstan with the support of DVV International.
*Different types of products fashioned from sawed-together fabric scraps are referred to as "kurak". Its name derives from the Kyrgyz term "kura," which refers to both completed goods and the processes used to create them. Kura means "sawn together, put together from separate pieces."
