Objectives of the action

  • Prepare a group of andragogue specialists from among the teachers and leading specialists of Osh State University for the implementation of the Curriculum GlobALE (CG) program in the formal education sector.
  • Prepare a framework for the institutionalization of a CG program in the formal education sector.

Target group(s)

Target group - 17 most motivated teachers and leading specialists of Osh State University.

Project idea

Adult learning and education is an important part of lifelong learning, which is now playing a key role in meeting the challenges faced by people and societies around the world.

  To realize the full potential of adult learning, it is necessary to rely on people with the appropriate professional competencies. Therefore, professional development of specialists working in the field of adult education is one of the key objectives of this project.

Description of project activities:

The main tasks of Curriculum globALE are:

• improve the professionalism of adult educators by providing a common reference framework;

• support adult education providers in developing and implementing teacher training programs.

During the learning process, participants will study the features of adult education and education, gain an understanding of psychology in adult education, master technologies in adult education and training, acquire skills in structuring content on a modular basis, master methods, competencies, methods of self-assessment of the result in education and in their activities.

The program will end with examination sessions, in which each participant will present their mini-trainings to the members of the commission. Each participant will receive recommendations for improving their future professional activities.

Participants who successfully complete the entire course will receive adult education specialist certificates.

It is planned to institutionalize the Curriculum globALE curriculum as a program for further development of the professional capabilities of andragogues at Osh State University.

Results

From 2019 to 2022, 31 people were trained under the Curriculum GlobALE program. Since 2023, the implementation and institutionalization of this program has begun at the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Personnel (IPK and RP) at KSU
