Participants in the training "Adult Education and Teaching for an Adult Audience"

On February 21-23, at the Institute for Innovative Development, Advanced Training and Retraining of Teachers of the Vocational Education System at the Vocational Education Center of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a training entitled “Adult Education and Teaching for an Adult Audience” was held. The training program was based on the first two modules of the international Curriculum globALE. The main group of participants consisted of employees of the Institute.

Training participants:

• gained knowledge in the field of andragogy, got acquainted with the basic theories and principles of adult learning and education, as well as with the motivational, psychological and social features of adult learning.

• understand the difference between the process of adult education and the process of teaching children. The importance of a focus on practice in adult education. The need to choose the right motivational factors in working with different types of adult listeners.

• able to determine: on the basis of which theory to conduct classes based on the goals and expected learning outcomes, the composition of students. Organize the learning process based on the psychological types of students. Choose types and methods of motivating listeners. Apply the considered models and principles of adult learning and education in their practical activities.
